Hola Hola!

Oh my I could spend my whole hour and half on the computer talking about conference. It was fantastic! I'll just give my favorite talks, (well they were all my favorite, but you know) and then a couple thoughts.

Elder Rasband: Christ was there for Peter. He is There for you and for me. Be of good cheer because the Lord is on our side.

Elder Anderson: Knowing someone's name can make a difference. GOD LOVES HIS CHILDREN. and God wants his children back!

President Uchdorf: He loves his children! Lift up your eyes and heart. Christ will place you on his shoulders and carry you home.

Elder Holland: Love God with all our hearts minds might and strength as the the first great commandment, but that the first great truth us that God loves us with all his heart might mind and strength.

SO wonderful. Conference is great.

We talked to Pedro for a brief bit of time. We knocked on his door and he was skyping his family in Mexico. WE found a new investigator name Celerina! She has a seven year old son and she seemed really excited about learning more. We have a return apointment with her this week.

The priesthood is real my friends! My entire apartment got sick and then everyone thought I had strep, but the elders gave me a blessing and we all got better. Thank goodness for Elders and the Priesthood. We are blessed!

Hola Hola Hola!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and that everyone had the chance to share the Hallelujah video with someone! This week I was able to go on exchanges with Hermana Smith! She is fantastic and we had a bunch of fun teaching 4 lesson in 4 hours! Thank goodness we didn't loose track of time! We taught Jose about Family History and we found out like no one in the Spanish ward has ever done family history. I about cried. It is so important! People are waiting people! Jose now can take his Dad's name to the temple for baptisms! It's great and he is so excited.

 On Wednesday Pedro texted us and said his neighbors saw us come by and that he was home now and we could come teach him. SO we got ourselves a member and headed on over! We taught him the restoration and committed him to pray about the 23 of April as a baptism date! He would have come to church with us, but he was with his kids for Easter and he doesn't get to see them very often. But he will be watching conference this weekend!

Speaking of conference, IT'S CONFERENCE WEEKEND. I am so excited for this! Conference is seriously my favorite. I hope everyone is praying for the health of our dear prophet and that the spirit can bless the Twelve apostles. Estoy pumped.

It was a week like no other...

Hola mis amigos!

Today marks 5 months for Hermana Prescott, Hermana Smith, and I! I cannot believe it! poor Hermana Cortes is greeny busting the three of us. You can imagine the party we have!

In District Council we talked about Teaching People, Not Lessons. I think that is seriously one of the most important teaching skills. If you can take the gospel and personally apply it to others, it will touch their hearts so much more! It's still a struggle for me to talk to strangers, but it is a working progress. Poco a poco is all the Lord asks of us. Daily improvement from yesterday!

WE HAVE A NEW INVESTIGATOR! He's name is Jorge and he is a former than we tracked down. They didn't give us a reason for dropping, but he was willing to listen to us and he agreed to Read and Pray about the Book of Mormon! Tender mercies are real because Hermana Prescott and I have been praying for the opportunity to teach.

Random Act of Kindness this week. After a long day, Hermana Prescott and I stopped on the way home to get some churros. And then when we were driving home we had the change to pull over and help this man push his car into a gas station! We wouldn't have been able to do that if the Holy Ghost hadn't told us that we wanted Churrios. (How ever the heck you spell that.)

On Saturday we had the Confernecia Hispanica for all of the mission! We got to listen to the Spanish patriarch and his wife speak and see basically all of the missionaries serving in Spanish work. So I got to see Hermana Wade!!! It was awesome and I loved that we got to have so many RC's hear the importance of the temple for a new voice. The other sisters RC, Irma, is so excited to go to the temple now!

Hello Everyone!

 This week has been full of ups and downs. We don't have any progressing Investigators because Marcelino moved and everyone else dropped us or disapeared off the planet. So we are knocking and Asking for referals, and finding finding finding. It's honestly really hard. We have knocked huge streets where two people awnser the door. Everyone knows we are the missionaries and they just really don't want to talk to us. I went on exchanges with Hermana Cortes and she helped boost the confidence. There are people here in Pasco who will listen to us for the right reasons!! (this week also makes marriage proposal count up to 4) The temple this morning was amazing! Thanks to my crazy Family History as a youth, The whole zone of 22 missionaries did my family names in the temple today. That was really cool. I'm so grateful for eternal families and the chance we have to be with those we love forever. love you all so much! Pray that we can find people!!

Week...Something...

Hola Hermanas y Hermanos!

This week has been a bit of a struggle. A lot of people won't let us back in, or won't answer our calls, or won't even answer the door. Our only progressing Investigator, Marcelino, moved into the Elder's area so we are knocking our entire area this week! (He's on date for the 26th though!) Finding Finding Finding. Full of faith in every footstep!

Aldo has officially moved to Sacramento so we are in the process of moving his records down there. Rosario is amazing and told us this huge list of differences she has seen in her life since her baptism. I love her. Jose is great as well and really wants to share the gospel with his family in Mexico. Pray for him to get the chance!

Eva and Efiram and doing well. They are coming to church, but are still struggling with get married. We are praying and working with them. It's hard when everything has to go back and forth between Mexico!

This Friday Hermana Cortes taught me how to make enchiladas and I'm just going to say I would make an excellent Mexican Wife if all they wanted to eat was enchiladas! haha. No white cassoral type stuff. The real thing!

Rosario got baptized! (February 29, 2016)

Hola Hola!

Soooo, I'm still in Pasco! Hermana Wade left me and I now have Hermana Prescott! She is Tongan, born in Hawaii and from California. So we have all the fun conversations!

MONDAY NIGHT WE SAW A MIRICLE

So Hermana Wade and I were tracking down MA's and we knocked on what we thought was a member home, But really it was this old man that lived alone. We started talking to him, like Hi we're missionaries..blah blah...And then we asked him if he had ever hear dof the Book of Mormon and he was like yes! I have that book! He ran and got it he told us he reads it EVERY NIGHT. He is in the middle of Alma!!!! He was telling us that it was the word of God! Then I asked him if he was baptized, cause like you know, I asked! Then He said, "Well I was baptized in the catholic church as a baby, but I don't think that is right, Because Christ was baptized When he was older. Your church baptized when they are older right? I need to be baptized like that." CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?! I didn't! His name is Pedro and he is on date for the 19th of March!!

Thursday we spent the whole day knocking and the second to last door we knocked on was Lora! She was really sweet and agreed to read and Pray about the book of Mormon! We are going back to see her tomorrow.

ROSARIO GOT BAPTIZED! Elder Thompson, our district Leader, Baptized her. She was so happy and she just started crying and she said she felt such peace. I love her with all my heart! She is someone I am so glad I got to meet. I need her in Heaven with me. I love her. In the photo is her six year old daughter Caridad.

I love serving the lord! It is seriously the best thing ever! Les quiero mucho!

This week has been wonderful!

Marcelino is doing wonderful! He is so great, we are teaching him again tonight and hopefully we can figure out the reason he doesn't want to accept a date. But he is heading twards the right path!

Rosario is going to be baptized this week! (Hopefully) Haha, You almost never know anything when you have two baby twins. She couldn't come to Stake Conference this weekend because Ruby had a fever. So that was a bummer, but she is still really excited for Saturday.

So we found this Duck Pond in our area this week and we went today to take picture. I LOVE DUCKS. They are seriously soo cute. It's right by the river too, so we just had a mini photo shoot again. bc porque no?:)

We are having a bit of a struggle finding new people because everyone is Catholic! And then they won't listen because, oh I'm Catholic, but it's so wonderful that you are sharing the word. My neighbor needs God, go talk to them! Blah blah. We aren't talking to you because you are an active Mormon! Haha. So pray to help us find some new investigators in our area.

Aldo is alive! He is just really sick. Hopefully we can teach him in the next couple of days. He called us the other night and Hermana Wade was in the bathroom, so I had Hermana Cortez help me (Because I can't understand over the phone very well.) Aldo asked where Hermana Wade was and Hermana Cortes told him that she was lost. Then he said She's lost?! Then go find her! and then we said she's fine, calm down, and then he said that's weird and hung up! He then texted us this text that said something like, See you never. Like Hasta nucha. and We. Flipped. Out. He wouldn't answer our calls and his roommates said in was California and it was crazy. Then we called him like two days later and he awnsered. He said he hadn't called us because he has been super sick, and that that text was ment for someone in Mexico. Haha He thought it was funny. We were so mad, but like not, but yea. It was great. Then he told us that he had been praying that Hermana Wade would be found because she was lost! Hahahahaa. We were dying of laughter. So aldo esta bien.

Trasnfers are this week, so we shall see what happens to us! We know one thing for sure, We will be where Heavenly Father wants us! Les quiero muchisimo!
